I like mostly everything about Superiority Burger, especially how they respected the Odessa interior and added to it with style and respect. My only criticism is that their servings are small. I appreciate a good meal, but I must also have a decent portion size. I guess I can blame foodie culture for that. Still, great post: wonderfully visual.

This is my favorite restaurant I have ever been to. I live in North Carolina, and we make special trips JUST for SB. I also cook from their cookbook, which if you don't know, is also a precious gem! The recipes are honestly perfect, and you can, in your own kitchen, make some of the greatest hits! Of course most of them are a pain in the ass, and labor intensive, but like I said I live in North Carolina. Also -- this piece is spectacular. I hope BH reads it.

I really should get the cookbook! I love his first cookbook. It's basically a punk zine. So good!

Very cool! Yes, that story is mentioned in Get in the Van. It's worded differently but is essentially the same.

This is the kind of sybaritic deep dive into a singular sensory-culturally significant experience that I read you for. Prime example. Enjoy the hat.
