I had the pleasure of meeting Jami in a book signing line at a writer's conference a couple of years ago. I had just read The Middlesteins and told her how much I enjoyed the b'nei mitzvah chapter in the second person plural POV--a chapter very much on my mind right now as we just celebrated my daughter's bat mitzvah. (If our family friends got to write their own chapter about the experience it would be all about how it's too HOT in Austin, Texas.) She was lovely - it was one of my favorite author/reader interactions. Thanks for the reminder.
Awesome. “Messy Jewish family” is one of my favorite genres in any medium and I loved The Middlesteins. I’m excited to read the new book.
