I was briefly a copywriter for a startup shoe brand. The higher-ups were always getting mad at stylists for dressing the male models absolutely ridiculously in every shoot.
To launch the brand, they spent an obscene amount of money to rent a castle in Italy and shot male models sprawled on sofas and chaise lounges and such. Unfortunately, they were dressed in pants that were so tight fitting and so extremely low rise that all of their crotches had to be heavily photoshopped to stop the six-figure shoot from looking like soft porn. The unedited photos were something else.
